About

Welcome to my corner of the internet! After 27 years immersed in the world of wrenches, diesel, and the open road, I’m trading my corporate hat for a backpack and a new kind of journey.

For nearly three decades, I lived and breathed the trucking industry. I started as a mechanic, getting my hands dirty and learning the ins and outs of these mechanical giants. Over the years, I worked my way up, taking on roles as a lead mechanic and eventually supervising teams, ensuring fleets ran smoothly and efficiently. It was a career filled with challenges, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of keeping vital logistics moving. I’ve seen it all, from roadside emergencies to the strategic planning of major maintenance operations.

But even with the constant hum of engines and the camaraderie of the shop, a different kind of call began to echo louder. The corporate world, with its endless meetings and structured routines, started to feel less like a path and more like a cage. I realized there was a whole world out there waiting to be explored, experiences to be had, and stories to be lived beyond the confines of a workshop or an office.

So, I made a decision that felt both terrifying and exhilarating: to step away from the familiar and embrace the unknown. This blog is my new adventure, a space to share the lessons learned from decades in a demanding industry, the excitement of newfound freedom, and the discoveries I make as I navigate this next chapter. Join me as I trade truck stops for scenic overlooks, power tools for pen and paper, and corporate climb for personal growth. Let’s see where the road takes us!
